New Improvements Fixes

New

30-day Scale trial for eligible new servers

  • Getting started with CLNR now includes an opportunity to explore its full Scale capabilities before deciding whether Premium is right for your community.
  • Who qualifies: Eligible servers that newly install CLNR after the trial rollout receive 30 days of Scale access, starting when their first validated setup is completed. Existing installations and repeated setup runs do not start a new trial.
  • What you can explore: Scale provides unlimited tracked-member capacity and access to Premium reporting, analytics, and other Scale features, subject to their normal setup, permission, and safety requirements. The trial creates no subscription and requires no purchase.
  • What happens after 30 days: Trial access ends automatically. Any remaining paid or otherwise granted access continues to apply; otherwise, the server returns to Free with its applicable member limit and vote boosts. Free servers exceeding their effective tracked-member limit cannot continue automated communication and moderation until sufficient capacity is available. Tracking and supported manual reporting remain available.
  • Clearer installation guidance: When Discord delivers the installation authorization event and the installer accepts DMs, CLNR sends a private introduction explaining the required /start setup and the trial opportunity. Setup remains available even if this DM cannot be delivered.
  • Private trial overview: /checkpremium displays recorded trial dates, effective access, tracked-member capacity, and relevant next steps. Trial dates remain visible when another access source also grants Scale. Expired-trial information is shown temporarily, without implying that a subscription was created.
  • Useful first steps: The private setup completion screen explains Scale access and provides mode-appropriate shortcuts to coverage, member import, streaks, rewards, or tracking tools. Opening these shortcuts does not enable features, assign roles, post announcements, or subscribe members to DMs.
  • Guidance during the trial: Eligible servers can receive relevant, optional staff guidance based on their configuration, tracking coverage, and available observations. Attempts are spaced at least 72 hours apart, with a maximum of ten trial guidance attempts. Not every slot necessarily produces a message. Normal optional staff suggestions and the separate monthly coverage reminder pause during the trial to avoid overlapping advice.
  • Before the trial ends: A final guidance opportunity around day 28 explains remaining access, recorded lifetime cleanup work, currently observed inactivity signals, member-capacity requirements, and practical next steps. Recorded actions are distinguished from configured features and do not imply proven engagement or time savings.
  • Honest early reporting: Trial-related channel reviews use the current month so far. Partial observation periods and unavailable comparisons are explicitly labeled rather than presented as complete monthly results.

Improvements

A more approachable Setup Wizard

  • The main setup choices are easier to find and understand.
  • Quick, Guided, Standard, and Ghost choices now appear beside their explanations.
  • Quick setup remains visible when unavailable, with an explanation and Guided setup as the alternative.
  • Setup-started DMs can link back to the server channel where the wizard began.
  • Role hierarchy checks can be refreshed without advancing, and the Streak settings shortcut opens its relevant configuration section directly.
  • Setup progress locks controls more consistently while an action is running.

Start tracking without importing members

  • CLNR now explains its normal member-discovery process before suggesting a roster import.
  • Setup completion and /coverage make clear that CLNR discovers members as qualifying activity or interactions are observed. Importing a roster is optional.
  • Coverage guidance explains when an import can help include otherwise quiet members sooner.
  • The coverage screen provides three practical steps for obtaining, uploading, and reviewing a member list.
  • Import members now offers two direct options: paste Discord IDs or upload a native CSV attachment.
  • Calling /bulk_user_upload without an ID list or file opens the ID input form.
  • The existing membership checks, file validation, role choices, capacity warnings, and preflight confirmation remain in place. Importing does not reconstruct earlier inactivity.

Clearer channel and role requirements

  • Setup identifies permission problems sooner and offers more practical ways to resolve them.
  • Guided setup checks staff-channel permissions immediately, including View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links. The selected channel remains available while admins fix missing permissions and choose Check again.
  • Warning-channel selection now identifies missing posting permissions before saving and supports checking again after corrections.
  • Role guidance distinguishes configured role assignment or removal from role references used only for admin access, exemptions, or decay boosts.
  • Guided setup can continue without an inactive role or Manage Roles permission when no role-changing features require them. Quick setup retains its separate provisioning requirements.

Safer switching between Ghost and Standard

  • Existing Ghost servers now choose a usable inactivity-warning channel before confirming Standard mode.
  • CLNR keeps the server in Ghost mode until the separate transition confirmation is completed.
  • The transition review distinguishes switching without member DMs from the optional one-time gradual re-engagement DM process.
  • Back, Cancel, and Close controls make the transition easier to review without accidentally changing the operating mode.
  • Existing notification preferences, authorization checks, and moderation safeguards remain in effect.

More meaningful weekly streak leaderboards

  • Automatic Monday leaderboard posts now require at least one member to reach the configured highscore notification minimum, which defaults to a streak of five days.
  • Once eligible, the leaderboard can still display members with shorter streaks.
  • If nobody qualifies, CLNR skips the automatic post. Manual /leaderboard access is unaffected.

Clearer Ghost Mode announcement settings

  • In /config show, Member-related announcements now displays ON when those channel announcements are allowed and OFF when they are suppressed.
  • The setting controls member-related announcement posts, not inactivity tracking, configured moderation actions, or Ghost Mode's separate member-DM restrictions.
  • Guidance clarifies staff-channel routing and the configured destination for kick summaries.

More readable Staff Removal Approval cards

  • Removal requests now display clearer target and requester identification, Member DM and reinvite-link status indicators, and distinct Activity and safety-check sections.
  • Usernames are resolved where available, with ID-based fallback information when profiles cannot be resolved.
  • In two-person approval mode, either of the two required approving reviewers, or an authorized admin, can execute the approved request after the three-minute safety delay. The requester still cannot approve their own request.
  • With two-person approval disabled, general requests retain the existing one-independent-reviewer rule. Delegated manual inactivity confirmations retain their separate execution rules and do not gain this safety delay.

Better-paced optional staff guidance

  • Outside the trial, advisory topic passes use the updated 7-, 30-, and 60-day spacing, while retaining saved topics, preferences, and progress. Guidance remains subject to relevance, delivery settings, and existing permissions.

Staff-channel confirmation

  • Guided setup now rechecks current admin authorization, channel availability, and posting permissions before saving the selected channel, including after permissions or channel access change.

Fixes

  • Fresh installations: Fixed /start treating a reinstalled server as previously configured because an old setup session was still active.
  • Setup progress and navigation: Fixed setup controls briefly becoming active again during processing, and outdated mode-switch previews remaining after a decision.
  • Private setup responses: Fixed ephemeral setup progress attempting to update messages through the wrong Discord endpoint. Warning-channel confirmation and auto-create remain usable after validation or permission failures.
  • Guided role checks: Fixed role-free configurations being blocked by unnecessary Manage Roles or role hierarchy requirements. Configurations that actually assign or remove roles still require the relevant permissions.
  • Localized setup forms: Fixed translated Bulk Upload input labels exceeding Discord's form limits and the Italian setup wizard's scoring interval title being cut off.
  • Premium recommendations: Fixed /checkpremium suggesting plans below a server's current tracked-member capacity needs. Recommendations now account for applicable vote boosts.
  • Ghost Mode settings: Fixed the Member-related announcements control in /config show failing to save changes when switching announcements either ON or OFF.
  • Activity and poll reliability: Fixed reaction activity and poll voting stopping when Discord channel or message lookups timed out. Processing now uses available fallback information while retaining applicable activity exclusions.
  • Removal request identification: Fixed duplicate requester IDs on Staff Removal Approval cards. Available usernames and fallback identifiers are now displayed more consistently.
  • Removal staff authorization: Fixed /removal request incorrectly rejecting authorized requesters holding the configured removal staff role. Members holding that role remain protected as removal targets. Configuration, emergency stop, status, and request listing remain admin-only.
