Icebreakers
- Icebreakers help restart quiet-channel conversations with one open question that members answer naturally - without voting, buttons, or a separate game to learn.
- Admins configure one regular text channel with /icebreaker config, choose how long it should stay quiet before CLNR steps in, select a question style, and optionally add quiet hours or a role notification.
- Choose Light for playful prompts, Casual for everyday preferences, Thoughtful for reflection, or Challenging for imaginative problems and tradeoffs. Mixed draws evenly from all four styles.
- Icebreakers are off by default. The starting quiet period is 24 hours, can be configured from 1 to 720 whole hours, and starts fresh when Icebreakers are enabled or when the channel, quiet duration, or question level changes.
- CLNR checks the configured channel hourly and only posts automatically after the quiet period has passed, so a question may arrive up to roughly one hour after the configured threshold.
- Built-in noise controls keep questions at least 24 hours apart and prevent CLNR from interrupting an ongoing bot-led or system-led channel state. Automatic posting waits until a normal member message is the latest message before the channel can become eligible again.
- Optional quiet hours prevent both automatic and manual Icebreakers during a chosen daily window, with timezone and daylight-saving support.
- /icebreaker preview privately samples a question without posting it or adding it to recent-question history, while /icebreaker post lets an admin preview and deliberately publish a question immediately without waiting for the normal inactivity threshold.
- /icebreaker status shows whether Icebreakers are ready to post, highlights missing permissions or other blockers, and reports recent delivery and scheduling information.
- Icebreakers include questions, with at least 20 prompts in each question style. CLNR avoids recently used questions.
- Optional role notifications can accompany public Icebreakers, while private previews remain silent.
- Icebreakers require completed setup and View Channel, Send Messages, and Read Message History in a regular text channel. Threads and announcement channels are not supported, and posting pauses when the server is not currently eligible for automation.
- CLNR does not read or store members' Icebreaker answers or message content. The feature only checks the latest message metadata needed to decide whether the configured channel has been quiet long enough.
- The Icebreakers Staff Advisory explains when to use the feature, its timing and question styles, and the available setup, preview, status, and manual-post controls without enabling Icebreakers automatically.

Improvements

DM settings now show a private, member-style preview card when an admin enables them, and /config show makes clear that eligible messages count as activity automatically while typing indicators are a separate optional signal.
The threshold wizard's Adjust Values action now opens a fresh input directly with the attempted score already filled in.
Large exports now explain when a file exceeds Discord's delivery limits or takes too long to prepare, so admins know why it was not delivered.
/changelog can fall back to saved release notes when the CLNR website is temporarily unavailable.
Manual Kick Reviews and Staff Removal Approval requests now keep member names readable alongside non-pinging mentions when Discord cannot resolve the member normally.

Fixes

Large Manual Kick Reviews now open reliably and let admins page through every candidate's details instead of failing when the review exceeds one screen.
Already-open admin screens now recheck current access before protected actions are completed, preventing setup changes, Manual Kick Review follow-ups, and public report sharing after the admin's permission has been revoked.
Posting an already-open Staff Review now rechecks that Premium access is still active before publishing.
